Jesus Christ - The World's Lighthouse To Salvation

Jesus Christ - The World's Lighthouse To Salvation

What did Jesus mean when He said that He was the light of the world? Are believers the light of the world also? The primary analogy that involves my mind is the lighthouse. The lighthouse is the perfect metaphor for describing the Christian life. The lighthouse is a tall tower constructed on a robust foundation with a beam of light that assist with the navigation of ships to the shoreline or harbor mouth. The identical purpose in the erection of a lighthouse is in close comparison to the aim of the believer's life via Jesus Christ.

The lighthouse is a tall tower that is normally constructed on an island or cliff. They are built near the ocean; but, placed on a robust foundation above sea level. The lighthouse is used as a refuge to misplaced ships for guidance and safety purposes. The attributes of the lighthouse are much like the hope now we have in our Savior. Jesus Christ came as refuge to a dying, sin-sick world. We receive salvation by calling on the name of Jesus Christ. This is the one name by which anybody can be saved from an eternal death. His very name is a powerful tower because the righteous can all the time relaxation within the safety of His love and power (Psalm 61:3). We've got to maintain our eyes above our circumstances and keep focus on our faith in Him. Our God is truth. He is our Rock that's incapable of change. We have now a strong basis in God by Jesus Christ which supplies us the peace of mind of eternal life (1 John 5:11-12).

The lighthouse has a leading beam of light that rotates throughout the water in a singular sample that permits ships to stay focused on their destination and keep away from hazards close to the shoreline. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. As soon as we accept Him as Lord and Savior in our lives now we have that same "light" within us. We now have been sanctified or set aside for His good works to a lost world. Because of the "light" that is now in us, we have grow to be a peculiar folks (1 Peter 2:9). Our pattern of dwelling needs to be based on the life Jesus Christ exemplified when he lived on the Earth. We're to live our lives in such a approach that the unbeliever shall be drawn to the "light" in us and seek salvation via Jesus Christ. Once we enable our light to shine, it helps others from regularly stumbling within the darkness of this world. Our lives should illuminate the everlasting hope we now have in serving a loving God and deter a dying world from the hazard of being eternally separated from Him.
